.........stands an old rock building.   Not sure when it was built or what it was originally built as.  I suspect that at some point in its life it was either a rock shop or a trading post or both.  Next time I'm up in the Holbrook area, I'll find out.   No matter what it was, the exterior is still great.

As seldom said, most of it is petrified wood.   There are also some quarz/agate geodes, some chalcedony, and several pieces of copper ores.   Most of the copper ore is chrysocolla (that what most of the blue/green rocks are), but there were also a couple of good sized chunks of azurite (deep dark blue) and even a little turquoise (very similar to the chrysocolla, but not as common).   I'm not sure what else is in the walls, but if they ever decide to tear the place down, I want salvage rights  Smiley .

# 3 looks like it has a nice piece of coral in it. If they tear it down I will help, bet xavier would too. I don't see the turquoise point it out please BA

If there is any turquoise in the pictures, it will be one or more of th smaller blue green chunks up towards the top of the wall.......I know the really good pieces of azurite aren't visible in the pictures.  Depending upon where the samples are from, it is often difficult to tell the chrysocolla and turquoise apart without some sort of tests.   One of the major differences is that turquoise is harder than chrysocolla (but both are fairly soft).   They are often found together.   If I picked 4 pictures of rough turquoise and 4 pictures of rough chrysocolla and put them together without labels, I doubt very many people would score well on separating the two.
