Northern Oregon isnt to well known for gold, this may be the closest for you

The North Fork County park, about 1.5 miles north of HWY22 on North Fork Rd is a great place to hone your panning skills. Being an easily accessed public park it amazingly has plenty of gold to be found. Most of what you find will be small speck flakes but some pickers have been found. If you know what you're doing you can be "guaranteed" gold every trip.
