meteorites fall everywhere, so you could literally start in your own back yard.   However, if you want some places where meteorites have already been found there was a really big one found in the Williamette Valley near West Linn back in 1902.   There's a good chance it's got lots of little brothers and sisters that got overlooked.    You also have two fragments recovered from a roof in Salem in 1981 as well as finds in Morrow county and in theKlamath Falls area.

Ustta have a 44 acre farm near Beavercreek , OR and recall reading about the large meteorite near Oregon City falls.  seems a farmer at the time found the meterorite just over his Neighbors property line and decided it should be on his property. The article went on to discuss the problems he had trying to load it onto a Stone boat (sled) and towing it with a team of horses.  Unfortunately for him the Stone boat left some horrendous tracks right to his property.  Never saw anything else about it.
