Hi , to all members as we all know that delta pulse 3 is not stable and bad results , delta pulse 3s stable but only for sell so the best way is the developped delta pulse 2 with latest stable program of lcd for discrimination so you will find here :
Schematics & pcb printed & placements & compenents list for (delta pulse 2 + Lcd ) & hex file latest and stable from here

& coil.txt contains all types of coil and how to make & images of finished dp2+lcd & snapshot of the software with preferances to success the program of the pic , i have read all the topic in turkish and i will post all my knowledge !

1- for the discrimination this program is stable and latest from

to proram the pic PIC18F252 you should use the software attached and the file disc.hex attached and follow as on image attached too and of course you should have the device . (For vista/7 users Right click => Run as Admiistrator)
2- to attach the lcd with the delta pulse 2 pcb just shunt "P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P9" from lcd pcb to "P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P9" delta pulse pcb attached too on attachements.
3-THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP AFTER YOU FINISH YOU SHOULD DO THIS STEP BECAUSE WITHOUT IT IT WILL NOT BE ANY DISCRIMINATION RESULT ON LCD :
3-a the signal Potentiometer of delta pulse should be turned at 1/3
3-b there is two variable Potentiometers on lcd board named tr1,tr2 (10K) we need only TR1 situated on the left of TL081 after you start delta pulse with wired lcd and programed PIC18F252 , turn this TR1 (left of tl081) to clockwise until the end , then reverse (turn counter-clockwise) and while you are turning counter-clockwise watch on lcd till you see two progress bars full with (word FULL) now push the button tune of the lcd not of the delta pulse 2 then test the device if still no discrimination , as is the position of tr1 and you pushed tune of lcd continue turning counter-clockwise till you see full progress bar with the word (FULL) then re push the tune of lcd now the discrimination should work if still not working repeat this last time if still not working be sure that the problem is on pic programmation (this is the tutorial and notes from Karadağ not mine)
here is a video of this tutorial shown by Karadağ

Delta Pulse 2 Test

Other notes :
Try to use lcd winstar 2x16 is the one that used by Karadağ because it exists bad lcd slowly .
try to use compenents as listed if you dont find them ask Karadağ for replacement he is a good person he will answer you
for the limitation of 200 it exists a crack but does not matter you have just unplug the pic then re-program it then re-plug it
many members from teknologiekibi have successed with good and stable discrimination

i can not attach file bigger then 500k here so here is link of download

Hello, i am building for the second time the Delta Pulse 2, first time i did not know what impute voltage and what resistance should i use for the coil and the irf740 overheated and melted the soldering, i don't know what i have burned i will change the ic's and irf740.
So far the schematic is identical to the pcb placement.
I have a problem with the R5 and R6, from the pictures in the .zip file they are other resistors bigger and other values.
I found another tread (

) with some changes, i am building from this treads .zip schematic.

Q1: the cable that links the coil to the machine...what tipe of cable is it shielded 70hz or 50hz(tv cable).
Q2: what is the best search coil for the dp2? cooper wire (i have 0.55 mm like in text file) or cat5,cat6. and what size to use for detecting coins and rings ?
Q3: the schematic form the .zip file is the final one? whats with the changed resistors r5 and r6, im comfuzed

if some one can help me with my q or direct me a bit il appreciate. thank you.
