My son in law owns a glazing company and said he has a bunch of polycarbonate sheeting. He has 6mm which might be too thick. He might have 3mm. I'm going to check that out for the winding template.

Homie. Please post some pics of the coil. Sounds like the winding is a bit confusing.

Working on one right now.  Think I have the handle on it this time.  Windings are coming out looking correct.  One over the other.

  Basically you start winding.

If the wire is coming from the bottom.

Run wire to the third slot available on top.

Do the same with wire coming from top.

Run wire to the third slot available on bottom.

Continue this until you have wire ran to ALL Slots.  Five Rotations.

Winding the Five will put you at your starting point.

From the Starting Point Do Not Go Up or Down.  Just Run wire to the next Slot.

From this slot continue for another Five Rotations until you have all slots with equal wire in them .

After each five rotations you need to adjust one slot forward or one back.

LOL   Just finished the coil and Stripped off the Enamel to test it with the Test All O Matic !    SUPPPPPPPRIZE   !   Aluminum wire.       Try again in the morning.

NOT a Happy Camper.   I have   26,  24,  and maybe just enough 22 SWG  to get the coil done.   Guess I'm going with 24 SWG.

Still not pleased with the Basket coil.  Just going to do a Bunch Wound  Mono.

R7 (150K) Controls PPS of Oscillator and  was producing 757Hz.  Schematic calls for 640Hz.  Problem solved by putting a 50K Pot in line with R7

Now adjustable from 600Hz to 760Hz.   I killed one of R7's Pads removing it so if you have to pull components Do it HOT and Fast.

I just ran wires to POT from remaining R7 Pad and VD3's Pad on bottom of Board.   I'm good with that.

Having a Good time with this build.  I like it.

Board show up MudFlap ?

Nutten yet... 555 is going to check on his end. Found a couple 8 cell AA holders with 9v snap connectors on top. That should work. Like Whites uses on the Surfmasters.  Somewhere around here I have some Litz wire. Probably in the same box with the FEP or TFE wire I can't find!

LOL on the Wire thing.   Not long ago I gave away a spool of TFE 20AWG not thinking.  Gutted my last dead TV in hopes of more 20AWG but no the De Gauss Coil in that one is 26AWG.  Usable but what I need.

I built a IB, I think... in the 70s and it had 2 coils of which one was like 150 turns of #30. Can't tell yo how many times I had to re do that. Even got it up to having the shielding on and broke the wire at the last solder joint  Cry
