Anyone ever heard of it? Used one?
I've got hold of one that wasn't working (It is now - all that was wrong was the internal Nicad Batteries were the originals - about 20 years old I'd guess)
Haven't had a chance to try it out as yet.

Also - Can anyone suggest a replacement for the TRF730 transistor? (400v 5a I think......)

Hello here are specs for the old part  and specs for the new replacement IRF840 .

The nicad pack was originally 8.75 volts do you think 9.4 volts would be o.k?
