Hello "o.mag" ! 230 mm diameter is 43 turns of 0.5 mm enamel wire . 450mm diameter is 23 turns of 0.5 mm enamel wire . 1 meter square is approximately 11 turns of 0.5 mm enamel wire . Watch transistor T-7 [2n3773] that it does not get hot , when winding a smaller resistance coil . If it gets warm use a TO-3 Heat-sink . The bigger the Pulse Induction coil size , the less the number turns of wire = equals less DC resistance and higher current  !!!

Regards.................Eugene52

the 450 , 230 and 1 meter size should each have at least 2.0 ohm dc resistance [or a little higher is ok] but not lower !!

Eugene52 hello, thank you for the information. I did not think to check the temperature of T-7 because it is in the box, and if it heats up I would not have room for the radiator. To overheating I think it is because it saturates the coil (pulse duration too long, or value of the coil henry too weak) and not a continuous resistance?

Regards ........Olivier

o mag  . The big  ( 1 meter square ) coil is made buy  :   buying  5 meters of  8 strand cable . Each strand is insulated . The color code is  a white , grey Rose , blue  strand etc etc .  Now you clean about 3 inch of each cable -strand .  You make a frame  ( 1 meter x 1 meter ) to fasten this cable to .  You solder one end of a strand to the beginning of another strand . You keep on going around from color to color  ( so you form a coil )  all the insulating wire that is around every strand you connect together and use it as your last wire  .  Now you got your coil .  Cornelius    ( ps   insulate with crimp sockets every soldering connection you made  )

Hello , I understand what you did , each solder connection has a very small resistance , multiply that times [8] strands/connections  gives you 2.0 to 2.5 ohms . Or you can use a wire gauge that has slightly more resistance per foot . Very clever Idea Cornelius !!

IF IT WORKS DONT FIX IT................ Great......................Eugene

cornelius hello,
this way of making the big coil is the book. I had made but it never work properly on my sensor (making it impossible to be silent), which is why I seek other alternative.
For smaller coils I already have several alternatives, which work well.

Regards ...olivier
