can you tried Saromines ? any hint for build ?  coil ... or some other parts ? and schema is not enough clear  ..

Yes I have try this,.300-400uH for the search coil, I used #21AWG 24 turns 10 inches diameter of the search coil, I can even detect IN4148
signal diode 3cm distance from the coil.

If you look the scheama of this circuit, looks like cloneAvr PI, the difference between them in scheama
clone PI-W used no LCD only 10 LED's the cloneAVR PI used 16x2 LCD.
