Hi Cornelius,

well, i'll have to restore my boy-toy budget first, so i am not quite at it so fare. I've read everything carefuly, but i am still gathering and studiing schematics. I am not sure i am going to implement it, at least not as shown. The first obsticle is the entire PPM set-up is heavy. Two water filled sensors and battery, the reley set-up, it must be 2Kg at least. So i am looking at fluxgate device. If i do decide to make this one, i'll probably opt for Methanol as proton reach media, replace relay with thyristors and PIC 16F877A with one of Atmel's (probably ATmega32), since i have more expiriences and i'd like to write data on standart USB Key or a "Minidisc" EEPROM at least, rather than streaming directly to computer via RS232. At bottom line, i would like to use the magnetometer in a guided/preprogramed airplane or helicopter model. That's why the weight counts.

regards,
d.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
