Hi X,
Yep, know exactly what you mean! Kind of sounds like a sampling rate issue.
Photos would be good!
Are the coils you are using "Scramble wound" ?

Hi Paul

Coils are scramble wound but I did try to keep them neat also I did shield it. The coil size is 280mm with 45 turns inductance 2mH resistance 5R wire 0.5mm this sounds wrong to me  Undecided  OK well here is the pic not very good so if you like I can take another one with more light Ho yes the uA709C will create confusion it is not the wrong way round see 709c is 14 pins but pin 1,14,6,9,7,8 are all NC so I cut it to fit like an 8 pin.

Regards Xavier

Shocked whoaaaaa ....... could that be the cause of all the problems? ...... I've never heard of anyone doing that! ... suggest you try replacing it (a 741 should work o.k.)

Hi X,
That coil don't sound right to me either..... seems rather a lot of turns too.
Any idea what the recommended coil spec should be?

Hi Paul

Well changed that 709 for a 741 and guess what? there is no change whatsoever nothing at all not worst not better. The coil configuration is the one that was given by Cornelius so it should be correct not to mention that I read a thread where the person had used this coil and said that it was working great so I just don't understand what is happening could be that I have a bad component in there but I did replace them all.

Not at all Eugene just don't know what to do any more I changed all the components every one of them I wonder if there if not some thing with the coil I did like Cornelius said 45 turns 0.5mm wire but that gives 2mH and 5R and that just don't sound right to me.
