Hi Japanese

I have a 280mm coil on mine I have done some in air test's and some field test's using Gold, Silver, Lead, Copper and Tin the strange thing is it really likes silver and Gold Copper is not too good but a Gold bracelet I get about 40cm and a Silver spoon about the same a lead sinker about 30cm but Copper only 20cm and a large abject well over 1m I have not tried it with a large coil yet the main reason is that I will probably never have the use for one.

Regards Xavier

Ram

A gold coin will detect at about 30cm but for some strange reason the owner of the coin did not want me to burier it (can't understand some people) yes very noisy but only when there is metal under the coil  (use headphones) very stable NO problems  controls F1 and F2 take some getting use to and have more effect on some metals than others. hope this will help you

Hi Ram

Yes that is a working board but you have to be careful with the tracks going between the IC pads better to remove them and put a jumper wire instead
