Hi,
i used my car as a targer (max. depth), but i get 2m on a helmet size target. Not bad at all, i am quite happy with it, thanks again Cornelius, this is a device worth building. The results are comarable with my miner4 only the later is using 100 times more energetic pulses to obtain the same results.

regards,
d.

Darkkintten did you test on a coin yet or are you only going to use large coils?

hi Xavier,
i intent to use large coils with this detector only. I use miner4 with small coils, it gives up to 45A pulses - fairly solid magnetic density, and seems to be inwinsible for small items, at least i havent seen anything better. And that is only good for about 50 cm depth with large coins.

Hi,
here are some pics....
and some more....

40% of pic size should be printed, lanscape, ink side turend to foto-varnish, use two foils one on the top of another if printed with ink-jet printer.
It is not uploaded very good, if someone wants this prin-ready, feel free to e-mail me : zajec.danijel@siol.net

regards,
d.

oh yea, it is pretty much the same as original (i checked it) changes are cosmetic only, i used this because it was the beast picture i could get in here to work on.

regards,
d.

i hope this is what you wanted to see, Cornelius, and tnx again for e-mailing me schematics....

d.

i forgot this: set 40% print size in printer settings, use ms-paint (free paint that came with windows) to print it.

hope this helps,
d.

Please ignore my ignorance. I am just getting back into metal detecting after 3 years, I built the Stuart with microprocessor design, but am unhappy with its performance. What M.D. is better, the Delta Pulse or DBP2010? what is the function of  DBP2010 daughterboard, and why cant it be built in to the mainboard? thanks
P.S. does either of these designs offer upgradeability with an add on lcd readout?

Hi wil,
i don't know the Delta Pulse but DBP2010 is one of the best detectors i have ever seen (and i have seen many) or build. For the price of the material used (about 200-250 EUR in box and bag) i doubt it gets any better. Designer split PCBs to decrease (or avoid) possibel iterference (this in fact is simplification) but yes, with proper shilding it could be done in a single board. Thought i really don't know what is the hassel about two PCBs, just solder it above the main board (i used on-board connector pins), and i really hate to change what is proven to work well. Yes, you can use digital uA meter instead of analog, if you really think everythink should contin at least one processor. And if you feel you should have something fancy looking, you can always make a Miner4, or buy mine, now that i have a better maschine.

regards,

d.
