Hello,

there is NO detector which can detect at 26 feet. The best you can get is 10 feet max. Also how would you dig down to 26 feet?

A good Magnetometer can detect ferrous objects at over 10 feet but I assume you are not interested in iron.

A ground penetrating radar will also reach over 10ft depth depending on the used antenna but is probably not suitable for your applications either.

Buy a good 2nd hand PI machine with a large 1 x 1 m coil.

Regards,

Christian

I have test this device and can assure you that Golden King DPR with it induction balance 12,5kHz can detect metals like any cheaper induction balance devices with big coil. If you need deep searching - the best way is to buy Minelab or Whites detector with big coil from DETECH, but you must know that bigger coil can't detect small metal objects.

I am also novice in metal detecting,  is Golden King DPR a good investment for beginner ($6K - 8K)?

ladygladiz,

No not practical to buy a Nokta DPR it is very expensive it is better if you are beginer buy not expensive machine. But 1st you need to identify what is the depth of your target, if it is less than 1 meter depth you can buy a common PI detector but if more than 3 meters you can buy a deep seeker PI detector and if you already expert in the operation of the detector you can add a arc-geo logger same result with Nokta or much better. Or you can buy a twobox detector with 6 meters detection depth but problem it is very sensitive detector many false detection created base on our other co-hunter. And the big thing is practice your detector until you familiarized it.

26ft detection sometimes equals digging 26ft deep holes. Are you sure you want to do that? Smiley

Peti80,

Yes sure I can do that sometimes more than 26ft, but many things you need to consider, 1st if the site have Japs marking of sure deposit, 2nd if have a history of presence of Japs during WW2 and etc. Treasure hunting here in the Philippines is diff. to the other country and you can read a lot of documentation about the history load here in the internet.
