hello danyy475, always in mind that dp is a deeper detector it works best in big deep targets the transmitting frequency is 100hz-120hz it is best in coil dia from 40cm to 2x2mtr or larger. it ignores small targets eg. rings, coins. you can modify the transmitter for higher frequency effective to small targets using small dia coil maybe 700hz-5khz try to consult the wizards they will give you the exact calculations on freq/coil for targets. my smallest coil is 45cm at 100hz-120hz.

regards, ram,

Hi danny475

Are you sure that you want to make a 1.25x1.25cm coil? and not 1.25 x 1.25 m coil? also if you post the link to your calculator we can have a look at it and tell you how it works and if it's any good for your application.

Regards Xavier

hi ram
hi xavier thank you all for your atantion
ofcorse not 1.25cm i was wrong in expresion 1.25m*1.25m or 125cm*125cm squared
ok for the websit i didn't find it it is somewhere here in this grate website , i have seen it and try to get somthing from it but i cant becouse i'm not a engeneer ??
i'v found more two webs that can provide good softwares for this perpose
ok here are they the first one you have to open the java file and try to work on the program
and the second one is another site that holdes in it many software they can be helpfull for this forum so you have to download only the coil management program or the mini ring core calculaor
and see what result you can end with

Torrid core coils calculators will not do it. I have bookmarked the other site and will have a look at it later on as it's 02h05 and I need to have some sleep but I will get back to you on this one. Perhaps it would be a lot easier if you tell us for what detector you want this coil I'm sure that we can help you on the right track and trust me to calculate the coil inductance and resistance that you need on a coil is not an easy thing to do. I take it that it's for a PI detector Right?
