All the code that you put in the 16f877 you can put in the 16f877a but you will have to change the header the other thing to remember is the 16f877a has more memory than the 16f877 I'm not a boffin on this at all so do check out the data page on these PIC's but yes they are very similar.

16f877 dosent work for that circuit i test it. Undecided

Good news for this md  Cheesy , i changed it's HEX and solve the on/off limiting .
It now is for 1024 on/off  Funny

i tried also the 16f77, din't work. 16f77a has 2 comparators and 16f77 has none and also only 3ports. 77a has 5ports for lcd.

the old hex together with the schematics and pcb pattern have discrimination func but in turkish language.
