I found one mistake in my PCB, but it is not designing mistake. I had placed one BC557 instead of BC546. I changed it and now some situation changed.

Now, when I power ON the circuit, the speaker sounds and meter acts, but after 1-2 seconds, the speaker become silent and meter goes to zero, is it correct?
I push the Zero(Reset) button, the meter goes to half, but I can't return it to zero by Treshold.

if you see the machine is working correctly, Now, how can I detect a metal?

That may be correct operation. Some detectors do that as a battery test. Brief sound and meter deflection means the batteries are good.

Have you tried placing metal under the coil to see if there is any reaction?

Yes, but it doesn't react to metal. I mean no action in front of metal. it needs some adjustment?, or it has problem again?

Successful constructors can help us by mentioning some critical circuit voltages.

It does sound like there's still something incorrect. May I assume you have done a good visual inspection to be sure all parts are correct?

OK, I will check it again, but I think this schematic has differences with the introduced PCB in the forum. please help me also with critical circuit voltages. Cool

I checked it. no problem.

the only thing that you can help me is the voltages in your successful circuit. thanks

I've never built one. Would you post your circuit diagrams and PC board here? Post exactly what you are working with and I'll have a look at it.

The one labeled PCB.pdf is actually the parts placement. Do you have the PCB itself?

All,

Where do we find these downloads? Perhaps that is a stupid question, but I see many references to a download section, but never see a link or any way to get to this area.

PCB is from Protel DXP. PCB was created with Auto Routing system, I mean no error in it, because the software will track the PCB itself, then you can modify it. I'm wondering because I can't find any mistake in schematic, why circuit has problem?

Please tell me, if you have protel DXP, I will upload the PCB here.
