i recommend awg #24 cu. (0.5mm) resistance 1.9-2ohm direct on coil.

 awg 24 4 p ---- 0.6 phone??
 3 turns of wire you you it seems ok with the size of my reel??

I don't know how many times I have to say this but resistance is NOT the factor to watch in coil winding. You MUST pay attention to the inductance first and the overall circuit impedance next. The resistance is not relevant at all for making the field. The resistance will determine how much power you must pump into the tuned circuit to build the field.

hello
 little problem everything seems to work potentiometers but no detection of my reel and my IRF740 very hot!
 40x45 3 turns my head cable 24 computer tower son of the correct strength of this force cut power for fear of burning my irf 740 even through a radiator does not seem to get better. still no detection from my reel
 I do not know or have the problem

i tried that phone wire have problem even the cat5 cable. just use awg #24 enamelled cu wire.

not the friend I have my multimeter
 lf 357 replaces the TL081 can be the one which poses problem
