Hi. I have found the XR71 to be excellent on larger and deeper items, however all my attempts to improve performance on small gold have been in vain. The 40x30 Cat5(450uH) coil I made for it is more(still not very) sensitive to gold when fitted to my SurfPro. My 6 inch Cat5 (350uH) round coil that screams on gold on the SurfPro can not come anywhere near the sensitivity when fitted to the Sniffer, no matter what settings I try.

Hello there Thunters. This is my first post here.

I need your help  if anyone knows how to help me. I have made a delta pulse / xr 71 following this layout. The problem now is that the detector alerts randomly (I am on vacation so I have no frequency meter to calibrate it or extra ic's). I have double checked all connections and found no mistakes on my pcb or shortcircuits. Any ideas ?

Thanks !
