I was looking at the schematics of Delta Pulse versus DPB 2010 and they appear quite similar.  Anyone use both have real world info on differences in performance?

the reason I was asking is that the delta pulse has a better pcb layout.  It appears the DPB2010 is a copy of the delta pulse with some component substitutions.   I do not care for the DPB2010's use of a separate board for the receiver section.

So I am redesigning the pcb using more of the delta pulse layout.  I am also rerouting signal and power leads and incorporating ground guards around the low impedance receiver input as the Goldscan detectors have.  I will then isolate the receiver section on the same board with room for copper shielding around this circuit.  The new pcb will be laid out for mostly surface mount devices and I may use a multilayer design for ground and power planes.  The goal is to have a well documented, stable board that anyone with solder paste and a toaster oven can build and know it will work.

I will also be changing T7 to a fast switching high current IGBT to allow using higher voltage/current to drive the coil.  Probably at around 24 volts.  It will take some experimentation to prevent coil ringing at higher voltage but should provide better detection of deep targets.  I will be using LIPO or Li Ion batteries to reduce weight and increase current ability.  I may experiment by adding capacitors to the coil power circuit to boost the current going to the coil.

The rest of the circuit will have a low noise voltage regulator to reduce its voltage to 12 volts

Just about have the new pcb layout for one board DPB2010 done.  I will hopefully have time to etch test board later in the week and test circuit for any problems.  I may even be able to make a one sided board version still working on it. After this version is done then I will begin making improvements and and a smt design.  All will be posted here when done.

Hello . Calibration setting wrong on TRP 2 10K potentiometer ?
Yes it is in english language but the numbers and signal amplitute bars on the display is universal . Your front panel controls can be labeled in Turkish language .
Everything is posted on your Turkish Forum under "Delta Pulse2"

Best Regards................Eugene
