i have now the pics ready to post but maybe my ip have problem.

also the full detail in building the eu52 powerpulse deepsearch (modified deltapulse/xr71) with frequency selector to be used in small and large targets it can detect 5ft x 5ft galvanized iron in 25ft using 1mtr x 1mtrx coil at freq of 100hz tested in free air. (note: free air is very different in actual underground test in 25ft of soil in diff types including water prefarably salt water) not yet tested.

some pics i emailed to eugene52.
eu52 powerpulse deepsearch was named after him the author. i just modified the circuit for more powerful md.

Impressive results, Ram. Regarding ground use, remember that the edges of the coil can be even more sensitive than people imagine. A coil that size needs to be shielded along the edges with a ground plane which is effectively a Faraday Shield. You will lose about 3% of your up/down sensitivity but you will also eliminate issues of detecting your car keys, the coins in your pocket and the pen you carry.

thank you very much golddigger 1950, you gave me an idea, this is a valuable idea for me. maybe you can help me building the correct square coil for more effective coil.

the coil data i used: 1mtr x 1mtr size
wire used: #24 swg
turns: 8 turns
resistance: 1.8 ohms (i used brother analog multimeter)
coax cable link to coil: 7ft rg 58 belden u.s.a. 50 ohm coax cable
connector: cb connector all metal 8pin
here is pdf coz cannot post direct pics.
coils, battery and battery charger modified from laptop power supply.

Are you planning on wrapping the coil inside the plastic conduit? The number 24 wire should allow you to pull it through but I'd suggest that you wrap the coil in air, tie it off spaced at about 2 inches at most and then coat the entire thing with epoxy. You can split the conduit into a half shell and put the wire into that. Pour in epoxy and it will keep things from shifting around. Once you get the coil right, you don't want it moving. A coil that size with a shift of even 1mm in wire to wire orientation can mean a completely incorrect impedance.

That's all the advice I can give you on this except to look into Faraday shielding to focus your field down. With a coil that big, you'll be detecting cars that are parked 10 meters from where you are standing based on the edge field. With Faraday shielding, you won't have any detection except directly downward.

thank you very much gold digger 1950. i will try it and i will post the result.
pcb jpg
schematic
lay file

to build this thing, just extract parts list from schematic to avoid errors. always refer to schematic in building the dp.

no parts placement picture i can post coz i use schematic in parts placements to avoid errors. follow the schematic connections to pcb connections were you put the parts. you must understand the whole function in the schematic to pinpoint trouble if occur.
