Hello fellas!

I'm done with my Golden Sabre...it was a challenging one....Thanks for all the people who provided the info...

Now I've got a new problem! How do I test this one? Could you please help me as to the procedures of testing the device...so far I can only hear the speaker...that's it!

Is there a step by step procedure to test the unit...Now I'm suspecting the my amplifier could be oscillating that's why I'm hearing the sound of the speaker.

What should be the steps to test it? Should I connect the Tx coil first and do something? or Should I connect the Rx first and do something? or should I be doing anything else before connecting the coils?

By the way, I've checked my -5V and it doesn't reach that much. I am only getting -2.5V. Is this OK?

Many Thanks.

Angelo01, you definitely need to hook everything up before it will work properly. The coil is part of the circuit.

Thanks for the reply Goldigger.

I've tried hooking everything and I am getting a tone from the my Sabre. What am I suppose to get when everything is hooked up? Should I adjust something also?

I've tried connecting just the Tx coil alone and I'm still getting a tone....The way I understand it, if I got nothing in the receive end, then the amplifier/receiver circuit should give me anything as well.

How can I tell that my Sabre is working and not just oscillating in the receive side?

Many thanks.

Well, yes, everything will need to be adjusted. Do you have a schematic you can post here?
