Has anyone built the Goldscan 4? If so, I was wondering what you substituted for the OA85 Germanium Diode? From what I can tell from the schematics I don't need to use a diode that has a 100v in-rush. I should be able to get away with a smaller value shockley diode. From what it looks like to me is that all the diodes are used for is to stop the noise bleeding in from the grounds.

What are your thoughts?
