Gotta say..... Lovin' the pics! ...... (sorry ladies!)

As for making one...... forget it...... they'll never in a hundred years let you anywhere near the schematic.
And I doubt very very much if anyone's ripped one apart and reverse engineered it.
Whats wrong with the dpb2010? ... should think it would perform the same.......

Hi Danny,
I think the dpb2010.
People have had good results building this.
What you should do is use high quality components to maximise your results.
For instance try to use 1% tolerance resistors, no more than 5% tolerance capacitors etc..
Good luck!

Thanks Paul

I'm also interested in building a good PI detector.
Can you tell me where to get the plans for the dpb2010?

Thanks in advance.

The plans are in the download area.
Please don't get this wrong but please don't "hijack" a thread if you want something.
Start a new one.

danny 475, you din't build your dp well, even the 1x1mtr coil,

did you used 12 volts battery 7amps?
what pcb and schematic you used?
did you try to adjust the trimmer resistor at the transmitter circuit while using 1x1mtr coil in air test?
did you adjust the five controls and the trimmer while on test?
25x25cm metal in air test at 200cm? are you sure?
danny 475, 25x25cm metal at 200cm in air test in dp is piece of cake.

try to test your dp in places that far from electrical wires (house wires, electric post and other high voltage wires)

the best test area is the woods/forest. hang the 1x1mtr coil tie with rope put your target at the ground then slowly release the rope tied to square coil towards the target, 25x25cm metal in air test is piece of cake.

try square coil 1x1mtr= 13 turns awg cu wire #21.

while on test adjust the trimmer for maximum detection also adjust the five controls.

note: air test and underground test has a very big difference.

regards, ram.

hi ram
thanks to your reply i have never thought that i will find such a good people that can help me
thanks for a second time

yes i have used the 12v 7amp batery
for the pcb and scamatics i dont know which one i used and which version,i asked for it and some of the members told me that they are all the same and they are tested for a good result so i thought that all of them are the same but than i realised that some of the scamatcs used in this forum hase some arors maybe becouse some of them use tl071 and the others use either tl061 or tl 062 or even tl071 i dont know which one is the best for deeper targets or for the sensitivity
i dont know if you can help me for this perpose to give me the best data i will be thankfull
now for the adjusting vr's 2 of them were not working i tryed to understan for what are they the sercuith is ok and its working fine but without depth and the vr2 and vr3 were not working i told you i dont know why ?
only the first one the 20kom and the 4th one the 20kom also and the 5th one is working also i'm sory i dont know there name and the 6th one which is the volume of the spiker is working also but the 2nd and 3rd are not working they are out of the operation i dont know if you can help me i can give you all the part list and all the things that i have done .
i tried to detect a pc case in a 1*1m serch coil and the result was poor it detects it at 60cm you know the case is not small its big enough 40*40*20cm3
what you mean by a pice of a cake ? its small or big(the cake ) acording to a 1*1m serch coil ?
ok i test the dp in the garden a big garden where non of your mantioned is there no electricity nor vlf antena and i dont get result, i see in utube  good vidios but i dont know if they are dp or dpb2010 can you see it please than you can told me what is that it is a turkish vidio they are walking on the coil and carying a oil corn oil tank (ona)its a turkish oil
and the device is sounding the thank is about 15*15*35cm3 and it was detecting it at 2m in air
ok see you
