Hi Supergold!

you were right! the display was faulty! I took another one and the Chance works now!

Great job! Thanks Supergold  Pray  Great

Here some pictures from MY Chance with Monocoil ....

regards Firebox

EDIT: other question. When I change values in the Menue of the chance and turn power off and on the values are permanent in the Memory. Only the Light Value is always in Position "OFF"..... so every time I turn it on I have to readjust this value. Is it possible to set the light "on" in the permanent memory Huh??

hello , you are welcome , glad that you have solved your problem, the light issue is: it was not considered on  the progamming code of the atmel to store the light  status . nothing to do with that , but you can put a switch an switch it manually.

i am disapointed with this project , is very poor in sensivity and very instable descrimination, can the autor share the source code of the atmel for us try to improve it ,
guys i think that we can make it better than it is.  Idea

good luck to all

Hi, do you know where I need to install the switch to turn on the Backlight manually ?

and can you explain the function of the barrier and raise volume switch? what exactly do they do?

I've tried a lot with the iron mask value, but I could not reach a good iron suppression.

The Value of my Monocoil: 1,9 Ohm resistor, 0,475 uH Inductivity, Diameter: 9.85 " inches (25 cm)

I set the guard intervall to 24. The chance runs after ZERO quiet !! ....

My testobjects are some german coins:

Coin:                        Depth:
1 Euro                      23-24 cm (9 inches)
50 Cent                    18-19 cm (7 inches)
20 Cent:                   17 cm (6,6 inches)
10 Cent                    16 cm  (6,2 inches)
1 Cent:                    14 cm  (5,5 inches)

but sometimes I also get a lot of erroneous signals. After i press the ZERO Button, the detektor runs quiet again.

By the way, which value for the L1 resistor on chance board is recommended? I would like to replace the resistor against a choke coil.

First thing I noticed was the Coil had NO shield?

What's with that?
