DD coils are amongst the easiest coils to make, but you need to respect the inductance of both coils the nulling of the coil correctly and inductance are vital.

Don't forget the field polarization and the interaction between both fields.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi Supergold,

great chassis! very fine!  Great  I see you have a headphone connection. Do you have Mono or Stereo Signal?

The coil is the russian basket coil. It is beautiful, but hard to build.

Today i have shielded my other coil with aluminium foil. It works great. The Guard Intervall is still 24-25 and Barrier is 1 !!

Now i have to fill epoxy in the rest of the coil housing ....

shielding gives a little more of sensitivity and the interference signals are better. You must link the shield to ground on PCB.... so my chance runs quieter ...

only in my kitchen i get that deep, in the rest of the house is worst , i never had try it outside , it detects gold fine too, a gold ring 35 cm. if the battery voltage is higher than 13.4 volts the  sensitivity is worst about 20 cm, i have tried the coil with another chance and it give the same results.

you must try the chance outside, because in the house you have a lot of interference signals  Wise  outside it should be better  Waveing
