Mud, SilverDog was selling the Kit with Programmed Chip.   Think he gave it up because so many folks had issues getting it running.

Found this in there: "
About LCDs.

Andy_F used BC-1602B-GPLCHb (фирма Bolymin). Подойдёт любой 16 x 2 , HD44780 - совместимый.

Maybe any LCD Modules Hitachi compatible like for example Optrex LCD 16x2 FSTN White Transflective White LED Backlight or
МТ- 16S2H, ЖКИ WHD1602D-YYK-CTK (производства Winstar) etc."

I have read all the thread and I have only seen that the lcd WH1602B is suitable according to this thread. That's where I got the scheme.

The Chance used the same Atmel as the Aurduino.  That chip needs a  Hitachi HD44780 compatible LCD.   I read in that mess it needs a Hatachi Compatible.   These are compatible.

I have Atmega8-16PU, arduino I think uses Atmega328P.

I have almost all the components ready to solder except the screen, I even have the table ready.

The lcd screens of the links are also valid using atmega8-16PU, pcb version 2012?

Sorry for the language, a pity.

Here is my table.

It is not the best of my life but it works a priori. Just a little flawed but without short shorts.

I've really not followed the chance build much.  Nice looking Boards.  Everything I've seen on LCD requirement is it has to be Hitachi HD44780 compatible LCD.

I asked on GeoTech for conformation on the LCD.

Two people on Geotech advise 16x2 Hitachi HD44780 compatible LCD is the requirement.  There are a million of them out there.  Cool

Thank you very much for helping myself, I am going to look for a screen following the advices. Great

On the other hand I am welding components and it me has arisen some doubts.

All the persons use ceramic condensers, I use of polyester.

Are they suitable to use polyester?

I would Prefer Poly over Ceramic any day in a Metal Detector circuit.

Polys are OK except for the 2 x 22pf which need to be ceramic (xtal osc). Finally finished stuffing the board with parts. One need to closely looking @ the solder joints that they are not dry and or have bridges to adjacent pads. I used machine sockets for the IC's because it it becomes simple to replace any IC without damaging desoldering.
