Hi Andy,

I'm not very happy from Silverdog.     

I live in France and I received my order after 15 days ....
1) In the Hammerhead kit, you chose automaticly  VCO option
     So few components less and unable to choose the other option.
2) In the kit Chance no support CI, no KP505 and no mcp3201  ....

Okay, so I have buyed these components.
The problem is mainly due to the fact that I had to wait several more days
to mount components.

Well, all this is no big probleme, after a few days
it calms down and takes his misfortune patiently. 

I would tell you that I just ordered the new Atmega with the new code.
This time, be careful, do not send me back the old Atmega and ship my order
as soon as you can.

sorry to hear your not happy..

1) 15 days does seem a long time but is not my fault - standard airmail has no guarantee, but normally is much quicker
2) Hammerhead parts are correct, as stated in my shop, parts are as per construction article which is VCO option
3) CHANCE, 2N7000 is supplied instead of KP505 - no mcp3201 ?  must be my fault - I will send something with your new Atmega as an apology

New CHANCE Atmegas will be supplied with a 820R, 3.3K, 2 x 1N4148 and a 2SC945 to allow the mods required for new firmware
New CHANCE kits will have new Firmware and new parts

I have NOT tested mods or new firmware yet, but others on the md4u forum have and it seems to work favourably
PCB's - mods can be simply done on current board I would say, next batch will be altered but no new layout has emerged yet

Do not talk about others without knowing what really happened.
I'm just an observation.
I have never launched into the void of words.
Nobody forced me to buy my 2 kit in Silverdog.
I respect everybody.
I'm just saying what happened with me.

If I have offended you, I beg your pardon.

1) Everyone is talking about shipping on this site of 3 to 5 business days.
    For me, it took 15 days.

2) For the hammerhead kit, I received the components for option VCO
     So, I'm missing components for the other option.

3) For the  Chance Kit, I have not received instead of Kp505 a 2N7000.
  I have not received either MCP 3201, I can confirm.

Again, this is not a problem at all, I just wanted to tell you.
I ask nothing in return.
I do not try to scrape cents, as some might think.
I ordered my components missing in France.

For Pcb modification , I saw the link, no problem.
I am very happy for the quality of the PCB that you sent me.

No hard feelings, and soon for the next order.

Hi vm6,

For Chance project, i'm waiting for missing components.
For, Hammerhead, project, i have done some minor modification :
  1) there is to much noise on TP4, and i put a 27 pf capacitor
      in parralel of R13.Now, signal is almost perfect.
  2) i can't have zero on threshold, and i change R30 150K to 75 K.

Now, all seems OK

I have made three coils, 32 cm and 60 cm low capacitance coils,
and another 60 cm with phone cable (4x2 0.7 mm two turn)
All coils with 2 ohms resistance.

I am testing now my PI in different conditions.
