What kind of loss are you talking about? If your past depth was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, where are you now?

Hi xavier
       series resistor with coil =6-3= 3ohm
No  relationship with damping resistor that relation with coil

 damping resistor In parallel with the coil =390 ~ 680 {Depending on what requests}

best time

OK, then, here is what I believe may have happened. A loose connector causing problems of instability can cause parts to fail inside your machine. By now, you know that baby inside and out so verify all of your known signals and see if any are degraded. Pay particular attention to the MOSFET which can be damaged by static electricity. Of course, most of your ICs are MOSFET devices so any of them could be downgraded due to being intermittently turned on or off.

Hmmm that makes sense I will start from the input and work my way round the board that could take some time  Sad Ho well no point in complaining and guess what I have a double the exact same board with the same components and set up that I use when I want to test new ideas so the first thing that I will do is use the same socket (it use to be the same) and take it from there. Thanks GD

All the best
Xavier

Xavier, remember that you are no longer troubleshooting a new construction prototype. You are repairing a working detector that quit working. Changing resistors, redesigning circuits = crazy thinking. Put yourself in the repair mode not the design mode. You'll find the answer that way. Or, as you suggest, build another unit and go from there.

If you change components as if you are designing this unit and later find out you hid or masked the real problem, your production units will all have a new fault built in to them. Seriously, do not try to redesign it before you fix the problem.

Check all of your op amps. One of them may have been affected by the intermittent cable connector.

Yes I hear you loud and clear but what I meant was that I have the same detector (for development work)so I can check the voltages, frequencies signals and so on and compare them with the one the has gone faulty. I fear that it could be the lm358 and it's a bugger to get hold of. Do you know if there is a substitute for that chip?

All the best
Xavier

Nope. Frequency sensitive. Shall I send you a couple?

I'd have to order some. I have no spares at the moment. I gave them all away to, oh yeah, to YOU. I'd get them here, if I were you.

As you can see, he only ships to my PayPal address so drop shipping is not an option. You'd be better off ordering them yourself. Free shipping from him. Around the same in shipping from here to you. Go right to the source. You'll have plenty of spares.
