Hello are the som out there.i need some advise to make a Coil to used on Fischer CZ-7a Pro.The coil should have a diameter off 2 meter or more and a cabel off lease 30Meter (100feet)

or make simpel metaldetector.is it possible to used signal-generator and Osciloscope and may be powersuplay to the cable/Coil (and loook at the osc-scop if the signal change amplitude)

the story is a shall scan a (Soft-water)lake to the summer it shud be a iron-Kanon from Year:1720 .old story. a may not find the iron-kanon but the way to make the equiptment is challenge.

Hello,

thanks for joining us! Unfortunately the type of coil you habe in midn won't work with your metal detector. The Fisher CZ-7a is a so called VLF design but the coil you want to build would suit a so called PI (Pulse Induction machine).

Hence ou will want to build a PI machine with a 2 x 1 m square coil. There are great people on this board who can give you great advice on building such a machine. The cable might however be a bit too long, best try to keep it shorter.
