The Lorenz is a very good machine but the data logger is overprized in my oppinion. I would only buy the Lorenz detector itself.

Regards,

Christian

The schematic for a unit still being produced is not likely to be forthcoming. Ask for something easier.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi to Cornelius and Bajes

Cornelius I have not build that detector yet (it?s a future project) so all that I can tell you is that I have found the pot core in Johannesburg South Africa the rest should be easy enough to get.(I take it that that?s what you mean by where can you get the coils) I am sure that with your experience you will be able to make a plan for the coils. I seem to recall pot core like that on the old (very old) PCB  ::)I would gladly send the pot core to you but I live 1400 km from where they are available  :-\that is why I have not undertaken that project yet.

@Bajes

Did you read the text? Club
Depth for a 5L paint tin is approximately 2 ? 3m depending on soil type a 200L drum probably much deeper my guess 4 - 5m but then you?ll just have to build it to find out wont you. Grin

Best regards
Xavier
