 Yep Great.
My programing all started in Linux.
Having  all that power enables me to program right on the device its self I have a 3.2" lcd on the way with it also.
And it has a hdmi output so I can connect it to a large lcd for programing .
Just scrolling threw the web to find a nice and fast adc that uses spi or i2c.
Any ideas?
I have also acquired some 12v digital pots that have logic level shifters built in!.
All comming together.  
One thing I MUST do is work out some input voltage protection for the adc.

I was talking to one of my friends about designing and building a metal detector. He mentioned he built a signal generator. I think he said he was using a PCF8591.
I read some on it and you could sweep the frequency form 0 to 400k hz. Hope I got the IC correct.

I normally just use a 10K resistor on the adc if I use it as a switch I place one on the ground and one on the push button high side, you could even use a 100K
