If someone can't get the links to work I posted earlier pertaining to the single tone mode now found on the TDI, simply go to the Findmall forums and then to the PI Technology forum.  From there, simply go back in time to April 2008 to find the posts linked above.  The discussions were about adding such a switch to the GS 5, the detector the TDI was initially patterned after.

You can also search the PI Technology forum for the following headings;

A cool GS 5 mod

I took a GS 5 for a walk in a park

If you decide to use the search method, don't forget to search the entire data base and not just the last 30 days.

Xavier !   You may concider one of these as a ALt on the Carbon Pots!   With a Membrain switch they could be made water proof.

Oops quote don't seem to work now for me..... The thing is carbon pots seem to be unreliable I don't know what it is but thinking about it could it not be dust? they also seem to do some drifting my guess is if you want something to work well you have to putt quality components if I look at the price of a carbon pot about $1.50 then if I look at a wire wound pot the price is about $6.60 now that's here in SA don't know what you guys would pay in the states.
