1- put Atmega8 on the programer
2- open then programer software
3- click on the read eeprom
4- go to the Buffer tab on the software
5- look at the 0x000 address on the buffer editor
6- again go to program tab
7- click on the read eeprom button
8- again go to buffer tab
9- look 0X000 line addresses

FFF4 = 500
FFF3 = 499
FFF2 = 498

Dear asgar110

I'm afraid you have not brought anything new to this forum.
We are all aware that there is a 500 times on/off limitation on the PIM-2 ver.05 hex file.
If you know something else that we don't know already, such as converting the PIM-2 hex file to 'unlimited' mode as you 'claimed' in your heading of your last post, then share it with us.
If you don't want to share this 'unlimited' hex file on this forum because it is unethical, as I mentioned in my previous post (see Reply #39, above), then my offer in that post still stands.
In that same post I offered to SWOP my full Delta Pulse 2+ hex file (PIC 18F252) for the PIM-2 ver.05 hex and eeprom files.
Hopefully there should be someone out there with good Atmega8 programming knowledge who is willing to assist us on this forum.
I really need to upgrade my existing pulse induction metal detector to a fully digital one.
I built my second metal detector, the Delta Pulse 2+, about 2 years ago. I am still very happy with it because it is a fairly sensitive and discriminating detector.
I now want to build the PIM-2 v.05, which I have heard on varius forums, is slightly superior in discriminating power to the Delta Pulse 2+.

Ciao

Best regards

Speedy_G

i made the pim-2 very nice and complete But that can not sensitive more than 40 cm , i stop to build it
PIM-2 v0.5 is not stable and sensitive
i am trying to copy another PI metal detector Atmega8 to sensitive 20*20 cm metals in the more than 2 meter

delta pulse 2 or 3 can work at this scale?

Posted on: October 08, 2014, 02:49:19 pm
PIM-2 v0.5 can not senc mor than 40 CM

the best setting :

power = 10
delay = 00
ground =10

this setting end of the senc the PIM-2 v0.5 and by this setting can senc  less than 40 CM

Tanks alllllllllll

yes, delta pulse 2 can do the work , personally i have built delta pulse 2 (version 2007) on 2009/2010 and i could detect 20*20 cm more then 2 meters with 1.2m coil not 40cm and not 60cm , now i am building delta pulse 2 (2010 version) with lcd discrimination and this is the best for metal detector
