hi i answered the request at the top of the board for help with a metal detector program, a guy in middle east who cannot access internet well said he built a russian pi detector and it fired up, but it came with msg that it needed program version 1.02 to operate....is this familiar to anyone? here is his msg:
i made this met [mad]al detector pdf (kovin pi metal detector ver 1.02)and when I turn it on it's program goes on demo and I must to buy it's program and my country is at boycott of USA and world and in Iran is not credit card or PayPal card or master card,and I did very try to found it's real ic program (hex file)....
any help appreciated, just trying to help a fellow tech here.....b

the guy in iran built a microcontrolled detector from scratch and some instructions, and he fired it up and it worked, then came up with a msg its needs a program...how is that for kick in the hiney? sounds like some things i have been through. is this program he needs for the microcontroller maybe? i'm ignorant as sox about that stuff...the instructions for the detector were in pdf form and by an author named TOMISLAV BEREND...i just found info on programming microcontrollers, i will follow up if it is frutiful.....b

yes i think he is slovenian but lives in iran...i am not sure.... i think i found his information, maybe it would be useful for others here, a library of microcontroller programs that grows....thank you for your help....b

usually the working program is available by the author for a price.
locked hex with a counter is free up to so many circles.
this way the author protects his intellectual property.
some people reproduce and sell the free version but when the counter reach the end of the count you need to re-flash the micro and start the counter again.
offcourse they don't tell you that. Angry
