I did not use LT1054, I'm using 7660. But I use the AD811 IC9, the detection distance increases. Coins to 20CM. Soft drink cans to 50CM. 10 * 20CM iron to 75. Circuit IC9 can use the AD811 it?

All that I can tell you is that Gary has quite a write up about this detector and that you should follow his instructions to the T if he tells you to use a LT1054 then get one do not try to change thing's it will not work properly.
