i  had purchase this  board from the Bulgarian guy, two years ago. The pcb is fine, the soldering maybe want some improvement, but for me worked 100%. Actually this kit is a Sniffer XR-71 ,similar to Delta Pulse. Recommended .. Cool

i do not know exactly, but i think are some minor differences. Ask this on another active thread, Sniffer and Delta are popular projects.

does it seem to be a good detector? is it deep? have you tried yours in highly mineralized soil? and can a factory coil be used with it if so what brand? thank you for all your help

Hello Everyone . If you compare both schematics side by side the Delta Pulse and the Sniffer XR-71 are Identical in design but run at slightly different frequencies . Also resistor and potentiometer values are different , and one schematic uses all  "BC" series transistors and the other uses the Common "2N" series . For the price of the completed kit you were talking about  , you can build one of each and have more fun doing it yourself !!
Best Regards...........Eugene

i really dont know if i have the skill for it . i would love to do it but i realy dont know where to start and where to locate all the parts. i do know someone in the electronics field that may help with testing equipment side of things. but thats mainly why i asked for your help Eugene.i believe i could do it if i had a board to look at and a run down  or a good schematic i could take my time and do it. ok all that is said Eugene what kind of after market coils could be used on this detector i know the factory can wind one better than myself??? thank you all for your time

Hello NC-DD . I know that if you have the correct parts , circuit board and schematic you can build it !! There are many Metal Detector kits available in Europe and the UK but no complete decent kits are available in the U.S. right now !! Maybe that will change soon , since the demand/requests are growing.
We will discuss this topic some more when I have more time . I just hate to to see someone over spend on certain projects or kits .
HH...........Eugene

Hello . Magenta Electronics ltd in the UK has a PI metal Detector kit comes with a pre-programmed pic-chip . They have been in business for several years . Give them a try . The other kit that comes to mind is GoldPic3 from South Africa ? Do a google search on these , last I heard they are both still available .
