Hello All

I am half way building Surf PI but now i have a problem. I do not have 240 K and 51 Ohm resistors only 220/270 K and 47/56 Ohms. Is that a big problem ?

regards

Leendert

There is no such thing as a 51k resistor in 5% tolerance. The correct value is 56k for 5%. If you want, you can find a 51k in 1% tolerance but judging by the circuitry, there's no need. The 240k resistor can also be replaced with a 220k.

Hi cor
you can ad two resistance to get any valuo like (240k=220k+22k  ,51k=26k+26k)
and measuer  the total if =240k  ,   51k.
best time
j.

Hi all

Thanks fore the answers. I am familiar with the series circuit of resistors, but there is not much space on the board, then. I have some IRF9640 in stock for those who can not get it.

Regards

Leendert

How can we assemble all the resistors In in a correct direction as per the color coding or value, since the Surf Pi 1.2 kit has no directional mark for the head and tail of the resistors.
May I ask any opinions from you guys if anyone who knows the right direction of these resistors. because I am really confused about it..

There is no direction for a resistor (No polarity) you have been told this in another post.

Thanks for the reply Xavier & Cool 2010,
Cool2010 I got all the photos from that link you gave, actually I have that complete file including the diagram layout, eventually I already started my own surf Pi 1.2 and I source out all the component form various electronic component shop here in UAE,the IC ne5534p,ICL7660 and mpsa13 still I am looking for,  I don't know where i could find it.
