I have a mess going on here with that stuff.  I don't know what's old and what's changed.  Must be like 7  versions of the thing floating around.  Somehow I have this one and the XR-71 stuff all jumbo-ed in one pile.

thank you homefire, I find a book on the internet that describes all the construction details of dbp2010 and 2 or 3 other metal detectors.I will now attack the construction of dbp2010

Just use 5% .  Go through some and pick out the closest ones you can.

thanks, it does not affect the sensitivity of the circuit ?

is there a detector to build that uses a standard resistances with 5% of tolerance, and which has the efficiency of this dbp2010.thanks.

Another question; the depth of detection for a single coin isolated, and the same assembled coins, is the same. Thanks again.

The idea of using 1% is to have the values tight and  as possible to the design.   If you use 5%, 20% or what ever it make no difference if you check the values and cherry pick the best.  You may even end up with values tighter then the 1%, Eaa?

The choice of using 1 , 5 or 20 %  only insures the required values are somewhat Spot on as designed.  Some portions of the circuit may benefit or required such tight figures and  tolerances and other sections just close is good enough..  Again if you do as above you've done better then was being asked.

As for Single Coin for that detector I have no Ideas.  Never used one.  Like any other MD it would have to do with how you have it configured.  A large coil is not going to be a coin machine.
