Hey GD,

Greetings !

Why you hyper dear ! Don't you think I require all these things to study to make one ?  If not to make, to study a machine ? if not to study atleast to know how it works ?

Sorry if I have hurt you in advance.

Kind Regards,

Mate, I'm not hyper nor hurt. I just can't seem to get it through to you that there is no need to worry about depth when selecting a detector.

You can find a truck at 15 feet if you bury one. You can never find a ring at that depth. Does that detector scan to 15 feet or not? Of course it does but it is useless for finding a coin. Do you see the problem here with your question and your concerns about depth?

Hello GD,

If not me, there may be some newbies here, who look for depth of scanning as a parameter to build a machine, it will be of great help for them. I don't know why they may be asking ! But that parameter is normally mentioned in the brochure and the details which you are telling are not known to newbies, except me.

I need not worry, is true, i understand that. Thanks.

GD, one more thing, recently i was commenting over thread "To prove that objects emit energy" I will tell you an incident purposely, to make you understand what newbies like me can learn out of it. One Mr. Christian commented a great article, I went through that article and found details about perpetual momentum which was really a great article. I learned so many new things from the article that I feel like making one "magnetic generator" for me which will give me free power for life !  don't you think it is a treasure earned by gaining new knowledge ?

Life is a learning process...

while one person hesitates and is afraid of doing things and feels inferior .....
the other one is busy making mistakes and becoming superior....

Kind Regards,

Yes, depth is mentioned in the advertisements but that is not a guarantee of depth, just an average. Too many factors affect the depth of detection to make it a useful parameter. As I said earlier, you can find a metal object the size of a pickup truck at 15 feet with almost any detector but you can never find a ring at that depth no matter how hard you try.

You can ask for depth specifications but it is a false indication of the usefulness of a detector.

Happy Thanksgiving !!!  Here again I will post a typical depth chart of a decent working Pulse Induction Metal Detector . And again I suggest you build the Delta Pulse/SnifferX71 as your first Pulse Induction Metal Detector project , because it is the easiest . If you are one of the members who recently asked about seeking depths of 5 meters or more read about Magnetometers or LRL's on our forum here . Or you can do a thorough internet research for several hours and come back here and post your research . After a few more days I will be going back to work on the VLF circuit Projects of this Forum .
HH........Regards.......Eugene

[welcome]Hi there I noticed you were ..P.O. ed with another member about your P.I. detector you have built, I am a Electronics Tech and would be very interested in your design, I use a Whites TDI for prospecting and I really like the way P.I. s function, I would really like to build one it sounds like alot of fun to me, if you have some info or could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

thank you

Hello Rick . If you would like to do some PI research or even build one , everyone agrees the Delta Pulse/Sniffer project on this Forum is the best PI to build then after that you can choose either of the DBP 2010s . They are posted in the Tech Talk area Metal Detector sub board: and open the PI designs and deepseekers and then scroll down to "Final PI project packages ready to build"
