The  NEW  DBP2010  has not been tested . The schematic is  NOT  complete . The module has not been incorported with the main board . I would say stick with the original schematics of the unit  . Why change something that has been proven .  Cornelius

There is no schematic (PCB board )  for the DBP20210  consisting out of a single board . The module should be a different board . This is done for the right operation of the detector .  Who ever came up with a single board I don't know but my advice is to stay with the original ( proven ) design . If in doubt ask Darkkitten .  He had the only reworked PCB which is equal to the original .  Cornelius ( ps . why do you guys always want to change things ? )

Hi Cornelius

As far as I can see some one should do some work on the components layout as it dose not mach the schematic so far I have done two detectors coming from you and both have transistors the wrong way round. I know that it?s not your fault but you have built them and you know that they are wrong so you should make a note of it and post it with the schematics this goes for the DBP2010 and the discriminating BFO.

Best regards Xavier

Xavier you have been warned many times that the transistors in the schematic were drawn wrong .  Stay with the values and types given in the partslist . Darkkitten built the DBP 2010 with very good results .  As far as the BFO detector goes , I don't know how you are building your detectors but mine come out alrigt . And ....  have built quite a few of them that I gave away .  Cornelius

Hi Cornelius

The fact that the transistors are the wrong way round does not bother me as I all way check them on the schematics but what does bother me is that there are other members that are going to want to build this detector that do not have the experience that we have and they are more than likely going to get those TR?s the wrong way round if they do not check them and it will not work. Just to make sure I hade a look at the BFO schematics and the component layout you have collector to ground and not emitter when I have the time I will re-draw the lay out and send it to you.

Regards Xavier

Xavier . Although the transistors are drawn wrong in the schematic . Be it a PNP or an NPN  Tr,  E remains E so do the B as well as the C .  Cornelius

But that?s not my point, my point is that it is incorrect and it should be corrected be for posting any body with experience will check the schematics with the component layout but not a novice.
