Cornelius,

Dennis here on the slowly warming coast of Oregon, USA, Could I also request a copy of your DBP 2010 file, this sounds like a project this old radar tech could get his teeth into.

Many thanks,
Dennis

Hello everyone. I am relatively new on this forum and since I would like to become a full member and need 5 posts to do so, I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth to start things off. I have been a member in many organizations and boards over the years and have found that there is always a common element... a few do most of the work and a few always complain. Sometimes complaining is good as it keeps things in check, but if the complaints become too common and/or intrusive... people stop participating and the workers leave. If there are complaints, why not take the complaint in a nice way direct to the person - off the board? It makes for a much more desirable setting!
Thanks...

Dave D.

Go Up Go Down

Cornelius,

Something has my greying mind in a twist.  I was about to make up a parts lay-out drawing of the newer version of the main board (the one with the main & module on the same plate.) I isolated the main with Photoshop, flipped and greyed it and printed it.  Then when I brought up the lay-out for the older board (as a guide) they were opposite of each other as if my print was the foil side.  If you compare the foil plate for the newer board and the lay-out plate for the older board the patterns are oriented in the direction.

The question I have is, is the foil pattern for the older board correct or is the newer board pattern correct?  I hope everything is clear sometimes I run off at the mouth (fingers) and muddy things up a bit.

Let op mijn vriend,
Dennis

Hi Gramps

The old version works it has been very recently build by Darkkitten and he has told us that thus far it is the best detector he has ever build and from what I understand he has build quite a number of them I have also build the DBP2010 but there are three components left for me to get (cant find them here at the moment) so I cant tell you offhand how it works. Since the old version with the piggyback board works I suggest that that's the one that you build till the new version has been build, tested and proven it's the only one to build. That's my personal point of view it's up to you to decide now

Regards Xavier

Gramps . As I wrote you the PCB of the module is reversed. Looking at the component drawing you will come to the same conclusion . It is easy to rectify . I would advice you to use a seperate module PCB . This will illiminate possible interference with the mother board components . Use the PCB 's as given in the post I sent you where both are given together .  Cornelius
