First time on a forum. Hope I do this right. I purchased a powerscan 2pro (sniffer xr71 mod) from Powerline in Bulgaria. The instructions are horribly unreadable because of the language difference. The problem is, I don't understand how to tune it. I had no problem building the 1x1 meter coil, but I don't really understand the controls. Does anyone have clear, concise, readable English tuning instructions for this circuit?? It has 5 controls: Power, Noise, Signal, Threshold, and Gain.

Just got my Powerscan yesterday. The instructions were pretty clear. Basically just turn all the knobs wide open to "10."

Serious? I don't see how that is possible given the issues with ground moisture, minerals etc.. I got mine last month and I'm still experimenting..

My opinion is that it's a bad detector and working with him is a waste of time...

Salvor6 , as he stated received the detector "yesterday" so probably has not tested his in the field as yet , you are entitled to your opinion what do you consider its short comings .
Maybe Salvor6 , after time using his will reply with His opinion on this detector . Salvor6 has been on this forum and others for considerable time and I would rate his assessment highly ..cheers Mick

"au fever" if you salvor6 lawyer? haha...
I did not say anything bad about salvor6... I just gave a well-intentioned advice... If you have the money "to throw", go ahead...
Of "metal detector forum" in the English language only I like Geotech this Thuning and others are not interesting, there are no topics that I'm interested in...
Best regards.

PS. @au fever do not be confrontational nature, start positive thinking...

That’s your opinion.
Why don’t you explain to us why it’s not a good detector?

Looks to me that you have personal issues with the detector’s manufacturer.Right?
By the way if you are not interested in the forum, why are you still posting here?

It will do the best to explain Viking73...
I have no problem with this type of detector, who are "derivative" (modification) of the Bulgarian Delta Plus, because they do not use, nor do I plan to use them... I have repeatedly attended the use of these detectors, the real field... my impression (which you'll probably still be taken within the context) is a "tragicomedy"... bad experiences of other users on other forums, I will not mention...
In this forum, I had to run a few hot topics, in order to have access to download section, with which I was disappointed (nothing in particular)... occasionally I visit the forum in the hope that it will show something interesting...
@nickel_n I think I've answered all your questions..
Now you tell me: what do you expect to find with Powerscan, that the size, and in which the depth in the soil?
I'd like to show me some of the findings, which was found to Powerscan (of course, that is not the sellers advertisements)

PS. for me now it's raining so I have little time to "throw", that is to discuss with you ...
