Hi,
Mine's working fine although....
I didn't have any quarter watt 220k resistors ..... but hundreds of eighth watt.
So I used the eighth watt....
They seem o.k. and don't seem to have got warm... so I guess it'll be o.k. just a little worried about long term?
Also used an 1n4006 instead of the 4001 but that seems o.k. too...... comments?

The 1N4006 is a higher current device. No harm there. The resistors, if they are not in a circuit that draws a lot of current, are probably all right. Most people specify 1/4 watt due to their being commonly available. They can be overkill sometimes. You should be all right.

I find this kind of question absurd, Mehdi. I have no idea what you are trying to find with your detector. I have never heard of the detector you are asking about. This thread is about one project, not about comparing it to other projects. There are some limitations in language here so I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

I'll sum it up for you. If you want to know about another detector, start a new topic and don't just ask one person. Ask in a general fashion.

If you don't speak turkish, alike me, you'll need a translater.
Right click on the sight and there should be a translater....translated enough to understand a little.

Hey!

So i assembled Surf P.I. detector (Silverdog KIT)and tested it...i didnt use osciloscope to adjust it but i played for a long time with triming the resistors....the best result i got is 1 euro coin at 15cm. Mostly i used euro coin for measuring...

My coil at moment has 20 turns of 0,5 wire on 23cm diameter.
I also tried 23 turns on 20cm diameter but it doesnt make much difference.

Can u suggest smthng to get better results? the circuit is putted together normaly(lot of experience with soldering components, so no problems), and everything is ok...only thing that is not like it should be is that R1 is not 1% tolerance like it should be, but i dont think it can make such a big difference.

Any suggestions?
