Hello Homefire and Everyone . Let me know about this PDF file I made and if its missing anything besides the schematic ?  Idea........Thank-you.....Regards........Eugene

If anyone wants files added to this pdf , e-mail me and I can add to it . I think there is a 1.0 megabyte limit on PDF posts so we have limits here . So on projects that some members are working on , we can put everything needed to build it , into to one easy PDF .

Just noticed some major difference in the two boards. the lay file had 3 tabs and i selected tab 6 (the 3rd one). it seems not all the tabs are the same layout.  Undecided

Hello . I see that now . I hope you made a board from rev. 1.2 !!! Over the years a lot of PCB files and schematics posted around the internet are not perfect even if we are told so !! When people make a project they find and correct the errors , Build the machine , it works great and then they do not make the final corrections on the schematic or the pcb file . You should be able to use the boards you made , but you may have to make sure no componenents have been left out or nothing gets shorted out ..........Let us know your progress ............regards........Eugene

thanks eugene, it is rev 1.2, still dont have the IC so have some time to look a little closer. i found an old coil being thrown away lucky for me it also came apart real easy. im sure i looked like my dog when he gets a big old bone, has to run around and show it to everyone and cant sit still. took some pics and was wondering if you have any idea if i can alter it to make it work with a pi. i didnt know if a double d config would work or not and if so should i wire the coils in series or parallel? i assume i have to ditch the board in the coil?

thanks VPR

I do the same thing .   I use Transparency Film !

So is that board usable?    I've just been copping every thing placing in a document folder and will sort it all out as this thread progresses.

I do the same !    Set the copier as dark as you can with out smears.

Eugene & Homefire
the photo of the built pi board match the last tab (board 6) in the lay file, so the jpg files i posted are the same. Tabs 1 & 2 are different.

i am having trouble with my supplier for parts. i drove over an hour to another city and he said he would order what i needed. 3 weeks later (long story short) i am tired of dealing with people or businesses that dont want to sell anything and wonder why they cant make a profit. so does anyone know a good reliable online electronic "parts" sales company? i have very little time to build and wanted this built before i go on a work related trip, figured i would get some detecting in also. what could be better than a little treasure hunting and getting paid to get there?

Hello . I have bought most of my parts from Jameco since 1992 , And never had a problem . Or if I am in a hurry I go to Frys . And the 3rd choice is building a stock-pile from E-Bay when I see a good price on something in quantity . Try to download the color catalog which has better part descriptions and prices are easier to see  .  Regards.......Eugene
