There is a saying between ham radio designers:
"If you can not design it simple, simply you need more to learn."
Do you read the patents, which relate to this design?

godsmack I am not sure what you want us to tell you. Which is best? Which is easiest ? Which will detect the deepest?

SD2000 mods.
Published by VK3KCG Peter Woodland (woodypoopoo):

"SD2000  is a very capable detector, Bruce Candy did a fine job designing this 2 channel pulse induction unit. Even today, the receiver is cutting edge technology but can be improved on.
Setting up a SD2000 is very simple, just turn it on preferably using a DD coil as the detector does not have a lot of filtering for ground noise. Adjust Threshold for a slight background tone, switch the front panel switch into channel 1 and at the rate of 2 up and down movements per second at between 3 to 6 inches above the ground pump the coil up and down and adjust the 10 turn pot for channel 1 until the tone is steady while pumping the coil up and down. Now do the same for channel 2. When both channel 1 and 2 are balanced put the switch into the middle position and go prospecting. Swing the coil slow and keep the coil as close to the ground as possible. The ground will change as you detect and this means that you will have to adjust the ground  balance controls to compensate. note that channel 2 will need more attention than channel 1."

some of guys say if a metal have 200 years old you can find it in deeper depth
for example if a metal detector find a metal in 2.5m in the air it can find that metal with 200 years old in 3m
do you agree ?

i don't agree, i tried it with my modified delta pulse and metal detecting in air test is very different in ground test also in open pit hole and covered hole and the compactness of the ground. i tried my pi in muddy soil and yielded excellent result.
