Go Up Go Down

Sorry Bernte, I never got a notification on this thread. The Pirate was OK, but becomes unstable- obviously the parameters need some serious adjusting. If someone has the ability or inclination, perhaps they could fine-tune this 8 pin ic design?? In the meantime I now have KD157DA1 chips from Georgi, so I will have a go at the original, but with delay and length adjustments. But before that I have a list of to-do's as long as my arm, including Arado 120B, Falcon MD20, LX765, Diablo, Sascho IB, Mini, 2BoxTR. etc. I got the last 3 resistors for my Baracuda this week, and have repaired a Compass Yukon 94B I got off Ebay not working- What a pleasure to work on! Slightly better on Gold than my Judge5, which I am growing to love.
My Hantek 6022 scope should arrive soon also.

Found more info on the Improved Russian Pirat PI.  Think I'll have a go at one.  Need to scare up some Clad for the PCB and the op amp.

Said piss on it and ordered the parts to make two.  You know me, I can mess up about any thing.  Still looking for some PCB clad.

latest working version

but you have exactly to meet the coil parameters (resistance and inductivity)
or you can throw all away after some minutes of power on - it will all burn :Smiley

no chance to experimet with other coils, and performance is poor

i think for half an hour of more work you can make blind squirrel pi if you like detector with clicking and howling detection sound

I see quite a lot of changes in that version along with the TL072 / TL082 .

Yes that is the one I made too, but will go back to the KD157 version I think.
My last post seems to have disappeared...
A version with CMOS and full variables would be worth trying.

K157DA1 sorry.
Some other versions for you to ponder. I have noticed some fail to invert the second op-amp stage-this may be the cause of some sensitivity issues?

Think I'll just play with the one I posted.  Parts are on the way. Bought enough to make two.  If it's a dud I just have some stock for the parts bin.
