A PI detector can discriminate if designed well. The magnetic field decay rate depends on the internal resistance of the metal/alloy concerned. The decay rate is different for each metal or alloy.

Detecting this decay depends on a fast enough sampling rate (higher rates consume the battery charge faster) to detect it accurately enough to discriminate.

I mention this because technology is improving all the time and sweeping generalisations can confuse people.

You own one. The Sea Hunter PI has discrimination.

That is Elimination Not Discrimination.   LOL

First thing it does is Eliminate Gold.

It just shifts the Delay.

Everything below that setting is not detected.

Mike, I tried to register there and the anti-spam test isn't working. If you would be so kind as to let them know, it would be appreciated.

There is many topics and links keep being posted about that mysterious qed detector. Never actual schematic or other info. Could someone post a real schematic about that, instead of just spam?

What puzzle, Homefire? I don't even see that. All I get is a form to fill in and nothing more. Oh, two check boxes. Where is the puzzle?
