prospector Pete It does make it seem there would not be much treasure buried around. And, I believe it to be the same Captain Kidd.

edjcox, I be thinking, once the location of the cave was known, it would would be but a short time before ingenuity led to it's pilfering.

Am I the only one who has noticed that Robert Kidd and William Kidd seem to be different folk with the same stories attributed to them? Is the title of this topic incorrect or are the folks here mixing the stories of two different men into one topic?

Captain Kidd, Its a bit of a hard luck type story... HE wasn't even keen on privateering at first and got pressured into it! I Don't think he has buried treasure on oak island, some other guy's  Cool
