In Pounds it is £1.439 per litre x 1.6257$  = $2.339c A Litre x 4 = $9.357 per gallon.

Thats what I paid yesterday

And most of it is taxes....not money to either the oil company or the station owner.   But then it's designed to be a disincentive to using a petrol-burning engine.

Well I was filling up 4 to 5 times a month, and now my insurance broker just doubled my insurance to £776.00 = $1261.54
per year because of uninsured drivers breaking the law I get to pick up the slack

So I just sold my truck last weekend because with £218.00 = $354,40 road tax and the insurance and add on to that $81.28c for
the road worthy test each year

so thats $1697.22c just so it can be on any road and thats not including the running costs ETC.
Nice here is'nt it

AU, the whole idea is that you're supposed to use public transportation and only go where the herd goes when the herd goes there.

One thing I've noticed is it's always the working man that pays, His Beer, his smokes and his truck, every year it's always
those things that they hit,

The company I work for just recently closed a plant in Canada.I visited this plant a few times before the closure.
They did the same thing we do in our plant and the employees made 2 to 3 times as much per hour as we do in our
plant.Yes the cost of living their was higher but so was their wages so all in all it came out to be fairly even.
The plant went on strike mainly do to their wages and with that the plant closed. Now I make 100% more than
they do .Something is always better than nothing in my book.

AU
What is the hourly wage rate in your area ?

I drive 100 miles a day, for me, I fill up two times a week at about $50.00 on average per fill up. That's about $450.00 a month in gas, that is without going anywhere other than work and home, plus picking up my son 2 times a month....

Now I am depressed.... Sad
