hmmmm...let's not forget calendars are artificial constructs.   Existing calendars have been replaced frequently throughout history --- sometimes successfully and sometimes not so much so.  Heck, the French went so far as to not only construct a new calendar of 12 30 day months followed by 5 (or 6) single days with each month made up of 3 ten day periods (eliminating the pesky 7 day week), but they even ordained a new clock that divided the day into 10 hours of 100 minutes each of which consisted of 100 seconds.   Biggest problem they had with getting the general populace to accept the new calendar is that the common folk didn't want to work 9 days before getting a "day of rest" as opposed to the 6 days and then "rest" that they and most of the rest of the western world were used to.

So, just because the February we are used to doesn't have 30 days, doesn't mean that February has to be limited to its current arbitrary restrictions if a self-styled "reformer" with sufficient power declares otherwise.

hi BA thanks and no one can change the calendars as they say its from GOD to ADAM the father of mankind .12 month a year 12 hours daytime 12 hours night.have good day and a good night.

I believe his goal is to repeal the 22nd Amendment. Then he can change the calendar. Imagine that. A Kenyan in charge of America for as long as we both shall live. Ghastly.

That may well be, but facts, proven or otherwise, have very little to do with the expression of opinion.  Especially in a country where freedom of speech is a cherished pillar of the society.  So, regardless of Obama's roots, people here in the Unites States can pretty much say anything they want to about him as long as it is not proven to be either libelous or slanderous in a court of law.  (Of course, conspiracy is pretty much based on speech also, and people have been found guilty of that, so I assume the powers that be could charge someone with conspiracy to incite violence, but they might have a hard time getting a jury to go along with that).

As for your earlier observation on calendars,

,   while you and may know that to be truth, we also know that throughout the ages (and going back to the time of Adam), men have sought to set themselves above God, even denying that there is a God.   And we also know that there are many extended periods throughout the history of mankind where these views and the people who hold them have been permitted to at least appear to hold control and authority.  

There is truth, my friend, and there is perception of "reality".   Sadly, the two are often not the same, especially when dealing with individuals.   And when dealing with individuals, perception often outweighs truth.  

And as much as I would like to continue this thread of thought, you and I must realize that to do so is to remove the discussion from it's original intent......which was in part to show how easily and quickly people will jump to conclusions that support their particular viewpoints even though a quick check of the actual facts would show their conclusions to be impossible.   And THAT is a lesson that is important in all of life including in treasure hunting where many hunters get so wrapped up in the legends and the stories that they do not check the facts.

Truth and perception.

We have a legislature here. That is where our laws originate. Executive Orders have a specific purpose. The POTUS is taking responsibilities not germane to his office. Tell me how Culture plays any part in whether someone can follow a simple set of rules? Do you think it is bad manners to exercise our rights, rights that are for all mankind and do not originate in the Constitution of the United States but are only ENUMERATED there? Ignoring the truth is folly. Those trying to follow their minority religions in your own country live in fear of their lives. You are right. Africa is a mother.

This is oh, so true in many cases. People outside of the US have no real concept of what our Constitution means. Unlike similar documents around the world, ours applies to what GOVERNMENT can or cannot do. Except for a failed Amendment, nothing in our document is a law that must be obeyed by the people. The people are limited by codified laws which, when found to be against the Constitution, are struck down by our Supreme Court. Anyone sworn to "protect, defend and uphold the Constitution" is guilty of treason for suggesting or implementing policy counter to that document.

There are a whole slew of lawmakers who believe themselves to be right in trying to pass laws that remove the rights we have guaranteed by the Constitution. I personally would like to test their loyalty by accusing them of treason. No kidding.
